A Symbol of Transformation

As I go about my daily routine, passing through the front door of my home, I'm greeted by an unexpectedly wondrous sight - a dove has built her nest right there on the doorway. At first, I was surprised by this new neighbor, but she has become a constant source of joy and a powerful symbol I can't help but reflect on.

This beautiful mama dove reminds me that life is an endless cycle of transformation and renewal. Just as she has carefully constructed her nest to nurture new life, you too are constantly crossing thresholds and stepping into new experiences, relationships, and phases of your journey.  

When you walk through the door to be with a loved one, you enter a sacred space of connection. When you leave a place behind, you transition to whatever awaits you next. With each opening and closing, you're offered an opportunity for growth and rebirth, just like this dove and her soon-to-be hatchlings.

Her presence is a beautiful metaphor for the qualities you can embody as you navigate life's many doorways: peace, spirituality, hope, love. No matter how cramped, dusty or unstable the doorway, she has found a way to create a space of nurturing and revival. If a simple dove can transform an ordinary door frame into a place of such significance, imagine what you can do when you fully embrace the power of your own transformations.

I'm so grateful this mama dove has chosen to make her home at my doorstep during this season. Her nest is a powerful reminder that opportunities for renewal, growth and love can be found in the most unexpected places. All you need to do is open your eyes to the symbology surrounding you each day as you step through another threshold.
